Description of Project:   New facility for Skaneateles Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Service – SAVES

The customer came to us with a need to relocate from an existing site in the Village to a brand new site requiring full site development and a new facility.  The project design was a joint effort between local architect Robert O Eggleston, Architect working in conjunction with the Secor Building Solutions design team.

Dimensions: 48’W x 16’H x 60’L 3-bay ambulance garage and a 48’W x 12’H x 84’L administrative building including several offices, sleeping rooms, a decontamination room, treatment room, conference room, employee lounge, radio/communications room, kitchen, employee lounge, and restrooms.

Framing – Project specific designed post-frame building structures with pre-engineered clear span roof trusses to meet the interior space requirements of the project.

Interior space – Ambulance garage includes painted metal ceiling and wall liner.  Sealed concrete floor includes a trench drain system leading to an oil separator.  Administrative building finish includes painted sheetrock walls, acoustical ceiling tile and suspended grid ceilings, VCT and ceramic tile flooring, solid core wood veneer doors, commercial grade ADA complilant door hardware, and may other features.

Roof system – Architectural style 40yr roof shingles.

Exterior wall construction – James Hardie factory finished horizontal lap fiber cement siding and trim

Exterior windows and doors – Custom painted overhead doors and exterior entrance doors to match owner’s color scheme.  High efficiency maintenance free vinyl windows.

The facility includes a 15KW standby generator, in-floor radiant heat, and A/C.
